Indication for Mother: Category B
Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.
Recommended Dose: Painful musculoskeletal and soft tissue disorders- As 3-5% cream (as HCl) or 6% cream/spray (as salicylate): Apply as directed.
Mouth/Throat Inflammation of the mouth and throat- as 0.15% solution: As HCl: Gargle 15 mL 1-3 hourly for not >7 days.
Recommended In: This medication is a locally-acting non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, prescribed for painful musculoskeletal and soft tissue disorders and inflammation of the mouth and throat.
Directions For Use: It comes as a cream and solution for oral rinsing.
Storage: Store it at room temperature.

Side Effects: Topical - Redness of the skin, rash and photosensitivity.
Mouth/throat preparations - Numbness or stinging sensation of mouth.
In Case of Overdose: If you think you, or someone you care for, might have accidentally taken more than the recommended dose of benzydamine hydrochloride or intentional overdose is suspected, contact your local hospital.
Avoid If: Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney disease and any allergy.
Only for rinsing purpose, do not swallow it.
