Recommended Dose: The usual dose is 2 tablets every half-hour to one hour.
Liquid- The usual dose is 2 tablespoonfuls every half-hour to one hour if needed.
Recommended In: This medication is an antidiarrheal agent, prescribed for diarrhea, heartburn, and upset stomach. It decreases the flow of fluids and electrolytes into the bowel.
Directions For Use: It comes as a tablet and liquid to take by mouth, with or without food.
Storage: Store it at room temperature and in an airtight container.

Side Effects: Central Nervous System - Anxiety, loss of hearing, confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness, headache, depression, slurred speech, involuntary movements.
Gastrointestinal- Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain.
Musculoskeletal - Muscle weakness, muscle spasms.
Metabolic - Increased thirst, increased sweating.
Respiratory - Fast or deep breathing.
Eye and ENT - Ringing in the ear, vision problem.
In Case of Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact a poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Avoid If: Caution should be exercised in patients with history of ulcer, bleeding problem, bloody stools, kidney disease, who are taking other medications, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness or blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
Drug Interaction: Some products that may interact with this drug include: mineral oil, drugs containing phenolphthalein.
